Look at that lanky kid! It’s me

This is a memory I cherish very much. It’s taken at a Botswani game park reserve, but unfortunately the name escapes me. The cheetah was one of four tame cheetahs used for breeding. They would mate with wild females in the park and thus strengthen the Botswani cheetah population.

I remember the cheetah purring and I felt the whole ground rumble with it. I cuddled with him as if it was one of my cats. The keeper also made me stick out my hand so the big cat could lick it. My mum was too scared to pet anything else but the tail.
